EIGHT YEARS SOBER AND LIVING!!!!
Today marks 8 years since Matt Ruehl decided to wake up in a hospital as a changed man.
The doctors said “plan his funeral, here’s a card to the funeral home”. But, Matt chose life. He stays sober every day. He chooses to lift and love the people around him every day. He reaches out to those fighting addiction every day. He’s available to people fighting their cravings every day. He shows up. He doesn’t judge. He protects and inspires. ♥️

Some of you know Matt as the hard working creator of some of the best food around. Some know him as family. Some know him as a friend and mentor. Some see his story from afar. Some see him as a life changer. Some see him as an educator. He is all of these things. Matt is an inspiration and an example of life after near death.

Let’s cheer him on as he has/does overcome the life of addiction every single day! And somehow he has time for anyone that needs him.

Thank you Matt. You love my sister Reneé (let’s get the wedding date set! 😂) You love and commit to Raylee. You’re a brother to me. You’re an uncle to a whole bunch of kiddos. You’re a son, a brother, a brother in law. You’re a mentor at Sunset Bistro while you make the hungry people so happy.

We are all in awe of you and love that you choose your people and yourself every day.
