We have painstakingly come to the conclusion to close BG Burgers, effective immediately. Every small business owner can agree that there are extreme highs and lows and sometimes unexpected variants. Some of these cannot be recovered from in a timely fashion. With the decision and change in leadership of another entity, a third of our business has been pulled from us. We cannot flip the business model we have had for three years upside down overnight. As a small business, we know it is best for us to stop where we are and move on to the next chapter in our lives as we are a family with four children.
It has been crushing to tell our amazing staff of 15 that the doors will not open tomorrow. This does not sit well with us and many of the staff have become like family. We have always boasted having the best staff - loyal, dedicated, talented, hardworking. If you see one of our employees' job applications, please give them your consideration. We can attest to their value. Please reach out to us on social media if you have any leads for them, as we will continue to monitor our accounts.
We have had a fantastic run - experimenting with recipes, creating delicious food, taking risks, finding a new network of people, feeding our community well, and supporting and donating to many organizations and businesses near and dear to our hearts. Being honored for some of the best burgers, chicken tenders, and jalapeno poppers has been a great accomplishment. We have made new friends, reconnected with old, and cherished the love and support of our family, neighbors, friends, and the community. It has been a blessing and we thank you for believing in us. Blood, sweat, and tears have been poured into BG Burgers and we hold our heads high as we move onto our next chapter. Living out our dream for 5 years has been incredible!
