Hey foodtruck followers!! For those who have been folllowing along the last month it’s been crazy!! In our efforts to feed victims I have met so many awesome people many of which I now consider friends. I could honestly write a book from all the stories we’ve heard!
Coming from the daughter of a contractor/carpenter/builder I grew up watching the hard work and sweat that my dad put into building our homes. I watched the finishing touches he added to turn a house he had been working on for months and months into a home for us. I think that is why meeting this family and hearing their story has hit home with me.

The Emini family crossed my path the first week after the storm when we started feeding in their neighborhood. Everyday Blerta would come to the truck and tell us how many meals she needed. We would casually ask if they needed anything and she would respond with a “no we are fine” After many days of the same question we were finally able to get something out of her. She needed a carseat for her sweet baby girl. Her car had been damanged by the storm leaving the seat her child would ride in compromised. They don’t know this but they had been heavy on my heart and in my prayers everyday since this one. It wasn’t until today that I actually met her husband Gentian. He shared with me their story. They were living in an apartment right around the corner from where He was building their new home. So not only was the home they were building destroyed but the apartment they were living while they were building was also damaged.

That’s why I am asking for your help. As they try and get back to work to continue to provide for their family as well as try and rebuild their destroyed home they need our help. As a community of followers I am asking that if you can spare a few bucks to donate to this precious family it will be greatly appreciated! They were only weeks away from being able to move into the house that Gentian was working so hard on building for them.

Let me add they have been denied by FEMA,twice.

If you have 4WD we need you!! We will start back up our hot meal service tomorrow and we need people to deliver them. The roads looked to be better this afternoon and we are hoping that continues tomorrow, but just to make sure we would love to have people with 4WD who we can count on to show up. We have been having 8-10 drivers daily and we will need that again tomorrow. If you are willing to sacrifice your time we’d love to have you help. Shoutout and for making sure we get all 200 meals prepped cooked and kept hot to serve the creekwood/whispering hills families!! I truly love this community and all those who have continued to show up everyday for the last 3 weeks!! BG truly is the best!!

We asked and you guys delivered, literally!! We need volunteers to help deliver meals both tomorrow and Thursday. These hot meals are the only food some of these families are getting and they are depending on us to deliver! Meet us at 225 creekwood around 11am. .foodtruck

“This is our new friend, Big Mike. Big Mike and Tish drove here from Cleveland, TN (near Chattanooga, if you’re wondering) because they felt led to do something here in Bowling Green. He’s a veteran, originally from New York. He spearheaded a motion to take up donations from the fellow veterans he rides with, as well as some of his local churches, organizations, and neighborhoods, loaded up a trailer with coolers full of meat, boxes of chips, pallets of drinks, and his grill (!) and made the 3-hour drive to Bowling Green. Without much of a plan on exactly where to go, as they are unfamiliar with the area, they drove around for an hour just waiting for God to tell them where to turn.

Simultaneously, we were running out of meat on the Whitdogs truck and still had more to feed. But we knew in our hearts God would provide if we needed it.

Big Mike turned his truck onto Creekwood, FOUND US, and said, “I’ve got a trailer full of coolers of hamburgers, polish sausages, and hot dogs. And I brought my grill. How can I help?” 🤯🙏🏼

At about the same time, our friends, Scott and Kathy Poston show up with even more meat from Eastwood! And tons of buns! And we had just made the comment a few minutes before that we didn’t have any burger buns! 🤯🙏🏼

Like, what? Y’all. God is so very good and He provides! Blessings upon blessings in the midst of heartache, and little miracles all around. And these are just two of the many answered prayers we experienced today. Because of them (and so so many others), Whitdogs was able to feed both lunch AND dinner to people.

God is working through His people and showing up, as He always does.
