Mad Dog Jake's is a hot dog stand / ice cream shop located in Boulder Junction, WI. We sell Chocolate Shoppe Super-Premium Ice Cream which is made in Madison, WI. We also offer Vienna Beef Dogs, Chicago Style Dogs, excellent burgers, smoothies, and much more! Stop in and see Patrick & Mimi and enjoy some amazing food! We open the first week in May and close around the second weekend in October. We

Surprise, I'm open today! Today is your last day to get french fries and whatever else the fryer can cook for ya! We'll be closed Monday. And Tuesday we reopen for the final stretch and whatever's left in the case is what we've got, once it's gone that's the season. If you can't make it today, start making your Tuesday plans accordingly.

The last hot dog has left the building. Oh geez! What a perfect opportunity to remind you that I still have some Fat Elvis left too, except I did that yesterday. While the grill is officially closed for the year, Butter Pecan is still holding court in the case. It doesn't need a grill. It doesn't need a bun. It doesn't need a farewell speech. It just quietly wins, the way it always has. Butter Pecan is exactly the flavor for a season winding down with dignity.

In related news, Fat Elvis is still in the case. Banana ice cream, salty peanut butter swirl, chocolate chunks: Elvis's favorite sandwich in scoop form. The King famously ate whatever he wanted whenever he wanted, and we're pretty sure that included both a hot dog off a Wisconsin grill AND a scoop of ice cream that was named after him. But if you don't get a hot dog, you can still get a sandwich. Sort of. Come on in and honor his legacy!

Ope! A couple of updates. We have 8 burgers left for the whole rest of the season. Once those are gone, that's a wrap on burgers 'til next year. We also have Maple Nut, creamy maple ice cream and crunchy walnuts, a flavor that tastes like autumn is happening whether you're ready or not. But it pairs suspiciously well with "I just had the last burger of the year."

Praline Pecan has made an end-of-summer appearance. This buttery maple ice cream is topped with a gooey caramel ripple and loads of crunchy, candy-coated pecans. A Southern dessert that took a wrong turn and ended up in a Wisconsin freezer. Eat this on a porch swing, and that's not a suggestion, it's what the Praline Pecan prefers.
