That’s a wrap!
It’s hard to believe that the 2026 season has come to an end when it feels like it just got started! Looking back, the journey was loaded with exciting additions and upgrades that continue to put the Ice Shanty Drive-In and Mini Golf at the front of the pack. Here are some highlights-
-New food items like the Northwoods Poutine, Dilly Philly, and Spicy Clucker.
-Mac it Up! Let your imagination run wild by adding a layer of creamy macaroni and cheese to your favorite menu item.
-Handmade ice cream sandwiches like the OG, Nutty Buddy, and the Shanty Sprinkle, made with freshly baked cookies, courtesy of our friends at the Boulder Junction Coffee Company. A great example how two local businesses can work together to enhance the experience of visiting Boulder Junction.
- Our Signature item, the Gyro, saw a larger booth at Musky Jamboree with expanded staff, Gyro Fest day at the Shanty, as well as Gyro Fest 2, marking our return to Main Street for an encore performance at BJCC, with live music. Something we look forward to doing again!
-Dirty sodas featuring Shanty-only flavors like the Boss Lady, the Gyro King Cooler, and the Shanty Sipper, expanding choices for visitors looking for non-alcoholic ways to challenge their palate.
-An almost-complete renovation of the mini-golf course, including professional-grade carpeting, custom challenges, an authentic Camp Manitowish Leadership canoe, the largest Adirondack chair in Town, and a renaming of the course, now known as the Boulder Junction Country Club.
All of this wouldn’t be possible without the help and support of family and friends, our suppliers, the best staff in the Northwoods, and the best customers in the WORLD!
