Today may not be the last day of shanty season but it is the last day of the year for a couple of our employees!

If you’ve stopped by over the last few years, you’ve likely been greeted or served by the smiling faces of Gavin and Tucker! When these two joined our crew, they were a little shy and nervous, and they didn’t even have their driver's licenses. Now they are confident, bubbly, and hilarious members of our team, ready to embark on their new adventures: their freshman year of college!

Both of them have put in countless hours and become some of the best fry masters this season! They have been invaluable and it has been incredible to watch them grow. We can’t wait to see what they do next! Gavin is headed off to UW Madison and Tucker is leaving for MSOE!

So, stop on by today to say goodbye, wish them luck, and send them off to college the right way!

Just a reminder we’re closing at 5 today (grill closing at 4:30) and we will be closed this week, reopening next weekend for Gyro Fest!

Fall is in the air and school is (almost) back in session! 🍂✏️🍁📓

With that, college, high school, teaching, and full-time jobs are starting to reclaim our summer staff! Our staff has worked tirelessly to give us our best summer yet, and we wish them luck in their new adventures! Linda began her own last week at her new school, which starts on Tuesday.

So, as sad as it is to say, summer is coming to a close and soon so will the Shanty! We will be closing tomorrow (Sunday the 23rd) at 5 pm with the grill closing at 4:30 pm! We will be closed this week and will reopen next weekend! We cannot wait to see you then for GYRO FEST!!

There’s no place like home and the community of Boulder Junction never stops showing us why we’re so happy to call this place ours!

We love this town, its charm, its businesses, and, most importantly, its people! Thank you to everyone that came and experience everything the Town of Boulder Junction has to offer over Musky Jamboree Weekend and for making The Ice Shanty part of your fun and memories and for being patient through it all!

From start to finish, it was an incredible weekend filled with smiling faces, lots of mini golfers, plenty of scoops of ice cream, and (for the main attraction) LOTS AND LOTS (I mean hundreds) of our famous gyros! Without our customers, we wouldn’t be The Ice Shanty!

After some rest and a few hours of relaxation, we have been back at it from 11-10 each day and cannot wait to see many more of you in these last few weeks of summer!

A special shoutout to our staff who worked extra hard behind the scenes to pull this off, as well as our family and friends! Please stay tuned as the Gyro King will announce the date for Gyro Fest soon!

HAPPY MUSKY JAM!!

It is hard to believe that we have reached August already but Musky Jamboree is here and so is your favorite highlight of the summer: Fresh gyros off the spit on Main Street from the Gyro King himself!

As always, we will be serving up our famous gyros during the festival and our restaurant is also open with a full menu (and mini golf, of course!). The only thing not served at the restaurant is our gyros, as those are Main Street only today!

Keep in mind we will be closing early to rest and reset after Musky Days! Our restaurant closes at 5 and the grill shuts off at 4:30!

Remember to support local and see all that the great town of Boulder Junction and its businesses have to offer!

Our customers never cease to amaze us with their imaginations when it comes to their orders. But, sometimes, it leads to something so great it lands itself on the menu!

Introducing the Dilly Philly brought to you by Boulder Junction Coffee Co.’s very own breakfast burrito maker Dylan!

His take on the East Coast Philly Cheesesteak is an Italian beef sandwich topped with sautéed onions, nacho cheese, and jalapeños (with a little crumbled bacon every once in a while)!

Come on in and give it a try as it’s sure to bring a smile as big as our new chair to your face!
