At 2,950 meters above sea level, an old Taranta legend has found a new home.
The iconic Taranta Pork Chop — one of the most celebrated dishes from Boston’s Taranta Restaurant — is now being prepared at the Santa Cruz Lodge in the Peruvian Andes. Smoky, slow-cooked, deeply comforting, and surrounded by mountain air.
This October & November 2026, Chef José Duarte will host a series of intimate culinary pop-ups at the Santa Cruz Lodge, featuring signature dishes, seasonal ingredients from the Andes, fire cooking, and immersive gastronomic experiences.
A piece of Taranta… reborn in Peru.
