In 1952, Hidetsugu Ogawa started an independent coffee roasting business in Kyoto, Japan. That business evolved over the next 60 years into the Ogawa Coffee Co., Ltd., currently ranked among the top four coffee bean wholesalers in Japan. Still growing, today there are 36 Ogawa Coffee independently-owned and operated coffee shops throughout Japan and one international shop in Boston, Massachusetts.

Ogawa Coffee baristas, known internationally for their exceptional hospitality, and honed skills including unique latte art, are some of the most talented in the world, with several world class baristas on staff.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by today and took home a little something special, our beloved House Blend Kyoto Drip Coffee. It means the world to share our passion for tradition, quality, and coffee with this incredible community.

10th Anniversary Message: A Decade with Coffee

Thanks to your incredible support, we proudly celebrated our 10th anniversary on May 22, 2025. 🎉✨

These past 10 years haven’t always been easy.
During the pandemic, downtown Boston fell quiet, and we had to close our store for an extended period. We’ve also faced many first-time challenges as a newcomer in this city.

But through it all, we’ve made it here—thanks to the support of our amazing customers and dedicated staff.
What brings us the most joy is knowing that so many people have enjoyed our coffee over the years. That joy has been our motivation and strength.
To all of our customers who have loved our coffee, and to the team who has walked this journey with us—thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💕
We’ll keep working hard to continue offering warm, comforting coffee moments to the people of Boston. ☕️

皆さまのおかげをもちまして、私たちは2025年5月22日、オープン10周年を迎えることができました。🎉✨

この10年間は決して平坦な道のりではありませんでした。特にパンデミックの間、ボストンのダウンタウンが静まり返り、長期間店舗を閉じざるを得なかった時期もありました。また、ボストンという新たな地で初めて経験するトラブルも少なくありませんでした。しかし、これらの困難を乗り越えることができたのは、お客様やスタッフの皆さまの支えがあったからです。

一方で、この10年間で想像以上に多くのお客様にコーヒーを楽しんでいただけたことは、私たちの何よりの喜びであり、原動力となりました。これまで私たちのコーヒーを愛してくださったお客様、そして共にこの10年間を歩んでくれたスタッフの皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。💕

これからもボストンの皆さまに、心温まるコーヒーで一息つけるひとときをお届けできるよう、スタッフ一同努力してまいります。☕️

This May, we’re celebrating 10 incredible years in Boston. A decade ago, we came from the traditional streets of Kyoto, Japan, to discover new trends, indulge in the rich coffee culture of this city, and share our craft with the community.

Since opening our doors in 2015, it has been our mission to serve more than just a cup of coffee. Every cup tells a story of tradition, craftsmanship, and connection. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Join us this weekend for a special surprise in honor of our 10-year anniversary. We would love to celebrate with you at our shop.

【How to use single serve drip coffee bags】

Using drip coffee bags is an easy process that gives you high-quality coffee in the comfort of your home.
The process is very easy and takes just a small amount of time.

Just follow these simple steps:
1．Hold the coffee bag by the top. Shake the coffee grounds to the bottom of the bag. Tear along the dotted line marked "OPEN HERE".
2．Hold the side handles and pull open. Hook the side handles onto the rim of the cup.
3．Evenly distribute 1oz (30ml) of hot water over the coffee grounds. Wait for 20 seconds.
4. Pour hot water to the top of the bag to begin extracting coffee. When the water level drops to halfway, refill to the top again with hot water. Repeat 1 to 2 more times.
5. Lift the bag out of the cup and let desired coffee drip out. Discard coffee bag.

And there you have it! Freshly extracted coffee at any time of the day.
