Dear Beloved Guests and Friends of Mamma Maria,

Tragically, at 4 am this morning, our longtime manager and bright, fantastic light of a human, Nico Herregodts, passed away from cancer, surrounded by many of our longtime staff members and his close friends. Our team was by his side constantly- visiting without fail, offering love and support throughout his battle. Nico had been with us for over twenty years and previously worked at L’Espalier in Boston and owned his own restaurant in Belgium. He will be remembered for always greeting us with a smile and his miniature chihuahua Prince on the mornings he worked; for his impeccable taste and attention to detail; his wit and charisma; his Liza Minnelli impressions; and his love of dancing to Shakira on tables. As a guest, you might remember him for being incredibly handsome in his sparkling suit on New Year’s Eve, or his love of admiring the glamorous fur coats of our guests. He will be greatly missed. He was an irreplaceable personality and a Mamma Maria staple. We will keep everyone updated with ceremony details and obituary information.
