at the boonville hotel, we have our own ideas about what makes a satisfying getaway. throughout the hotel, we reject clutter for quality, offering a small number of choice options. we have a limited staff so we can compensate them better, making for a higher quality of service. we have a small menu so we can showcase the best ingredients on every plate. our luxuries are the light, the space, the landscape. amenities are thoughtfully selected with an eye on natural materials and ingredients, ecological impact, and the pleasure they provide. while you’re here, we invite you to BE here. the rooms have no tv or phones, and internet service is unpredictable. this is a rural roadhouse, where we put our energy into clean, comfortable beds, fresh, expertly prepared food, and friendly, down to earth staff. for guests who are used to a busier, fussier lodging experience, our style will be a change of pace. we suggest you give it a try. enjoy the bed, the food, the people. enjoy the garden and grounds, the town and surrounds. together these elements create a lodging experience you won’t find anywhere else.

A Wool & Weaving Retreat !!
For those of us who love fiber, texture and handiwork, this retreat offers a beautiful introduction to wool based craft and a beautiful setting, with some delicious food too!

During the retreat you will.,..
* learn the art of wool felting with nancy jessamyn marshall a textile artist and fabric print designer for Lesley Evers . Students will create their own individual wool coasters to take home and enjoy.
* there will be late afternoon Qigong in the garden with Linda MacElwee
* a beautiful four course seasonal prefix dinner with Perry Hoffman, featuring ingredients sourced from our local farms
* the next morning after Hotel breakfast will take part in a weaving with wool workshop with Teresa Santana . Will be creating a circular wall hanging on a copper frame, using richly textured fibers and simple foundational techniques. Receive your own loom and a selection of beautiful fibers to work with.
* an afternoon lunch in the garden
* dinner at Offspring for a California Italian meal
* and an evening of acoustic music by the bonfire
* then rejoin the following morning after breakfast to finish your wool while hanging

Join us at the Boonville Hotel September 21–23
for a true Wine, Harvest and Food Retreat
Centered around meeting the people that make the wines of Greenwood & Signal Ridge areas of Anderson Valley.
We’ll begin with a welcome pour of Wentworth Vineyard Chardonnay with Moreo Rivera, Hospitality & Estate Operations at Wentworth Vineyard followed by a winemaker dinner with winemaker Phil Baxter and Chef Perry Hoffman. There will be seasonal food stations in the kitchen, and a seated prix fixe menu paired with Baxter wines.
The following day, we’ll venture into the hills for a private tour of Signal Ridge Vineyard, a vineyard-country picnic and a tour. Then onto a private tasting at Drew Family Cellars, hosted by Jason and Molly Drew.

The retreat also includes breakfast at the hotel, dinner at Offspring, music and firelight in the courtyard, and a final morning at Filigreen Farm exploring biodynamic agriculture and tasting estate olive oil and table grapes.

The retreat is $495 per guest and includes tours, shuttle transportation, meals, wine tastings, service and tax. Guest rooms and additional beverages are sold separately. Reserve directly with The Boonville Hotel.

Lucky us, getting to witness at all.
We’re in the midst of the season of weddings and enjoying every bit.

Summertime, we’re slowing down and making art.
Come join us for our Print and Paper Retreat!
August 24-26th.
devoting our time to printmaking, collage, and making things by hand.
We get the pleasure of working with the amazing Sandy Oppenheimer to create beautiful collages with all sorts of delightful papers, we will be learning the art of Block printing with Solange Roberdeau, along with eating Perry’s gorgeous food at the hotel and enjoying California Italian food at Offspring, qigong in the late afternoon, acoustic music in the evening under the stars, sleeping, and beautiful spaces, enjoying the summer abundant garden and making art!!
