With great sadness, I must confirm that Homestead Restaurant will remain temporarily closed. This is certainly not the news I had hoped to deliver.

The fire that occurred on Oct. 10th was devastating. For the second time in less than four years, our business was forced to close abruptly. The months since have felt like a walk in the dark, an endless struggle for clarity. Our team members held fast, anxiously waiting to welcome you back. If you didn't already know, they're incredible!

The property was not ours to rebuild. We have also been unsuccessful in our effort to negotiate a lease or a purchase of the property. As much as I wanted to update everyone sooner, this outcome was not known until recently.

For as long as I can remember, my passion has been hospitality. Continuing the Rosener Family/Homestead legacy was never a "business" decision for me. It's always been personal. Thirty years ago, Bonne Terre offered a new beginning for our family. I grew up in that building. The last memories I have of my father were made in that building. Maybe it goes without saying, but this is a difficult chapter to close out.

We cannot thank you enough for your prayers and encouraging words. You and your families are the reason we do what we do. It has been our privilege to share in your birthdays, anniversaries, holiday gatherings, and more. Together, we have built something special; your support is all the proof we need to know that.

In considering our next chapter, we continue to pray for direction. While I do not know what the future holds, I would consider it an honor to pick up where we left off some day soon. Thank you for your continued support and thank you for the memories.
