If there’s one thing you should know about us, it is that aside from serving up great breakfast & lunch, our other calling is helping rescue animals and supporting the folks that help them.

This weekend, Sarah & Jeff transported 14 dogs and 14 puppies from Texas to the Pacific Northwest! On their way through Boise we offered them a free meal to help fuel their spirits on the way back to Georgia. 🐾 It was so great to meet kindred spirits and help support them in small way! Today we had a student join us from Life's Kitchen. This was a first for us and we are excited for this new partnership. The student joined us for 4 hours and got to experience a busy kitchen in real time. She observed, assisted with prepping, and helped us through the rush! She did a stellar job 🌟

Life’s Kitchen is dedicated to transforming the lives of young adults by building self-sufficiency and independence through comprehensive food service and life skills training, placement in the food service industry, and continuing education.

Life’s Kitchen provides a 16 week food service and life skills training program for young adults ages 16-20 years old who face significant barriers to success. Trainees gain hands-on experience through our three training businesses: the café, catering, and contract foods.

Go check out their cafe on Fairview (in the old Marie Callender’s) and consider hiring them to cater your event this summer ☀️ We look forward to hosting more of their students and possibly hiring one when we have an opening 👩🏻‍🍳 👨🏻‍🍳
