⚠️ WARNING — LONG POST! ⚠️
🙏🏾 THE DEVIL IS A LIE! BUT GOD IS GOOD! 🙌🏾
I haven’t been posting about the book the last few days because LIFE has been LIFE’N! 😩😂
Last Friday, the exhaust fan went out on the Wing Kingh Food Truck. It was OVER 100 degrees inside that truck 🥵🔥, but my crew HELD IT DOWN for 3 DAYS! 💪🏾❤️
Then Saturday, my walk-in freezer stopped working! 🤦🏾♂️
So we had to move and stock everything we could into the working freezers inside the food truck.
Monday, we finally got the exhaust fan back working. 🙌🏾 We ordered the part for the walk-in freezer Monday, and it was supposed to arrive by Thursday.
I’m thinking, “Okay, we still good!” because load-in for one of the BIGGEST EVENTS OF THE YEAR for Wing Kingh — Foodees Festival in Asheville, NC — was supposed to be FRIDAY!
BUT HOLD ON… 😂
Tuesday comes, and we get the announcement:
LOAD-IN IS THURSDAY! 😳😳😳
Now I’m REALLY behind!
❌ Haven’t printed the new shirts.
❌ Haven’t made the sauces for resale.
❌ Walk-in freezer STILL down.
❌ Food shipment coming Wednesday.
❌ Now we have to load in THURSDAY!
So I went into HURRY-UP MODE! 😂💨
Wednesday, the food shipment came and the freezer STILL wasn’t fixed. So now I had to find somewhere to store all this food.
We found a rental freezer! 🙌🏾
But guess where?
GAFFNEY, SOUTH CAROLINA! 😳
So we loaded up the truck, picked up the shipment in Athens, Georgia, and transported everything to Gaffney, SC.
My wife and I didn’t get back home until 2:30 Thursday morning! 😴
Riding through the night, tired, worn out…but doing what I HAVE TO DO to keep this business moving!
Then FedEx finally delivers the freezer part…
WRONG PART! 🤦🏾♂️😂
So the freezer is STILL NOT FIXED!
But let me tell y’all something…
IT WAS ALL WORTH IT! 🙏🏾❤️
Today we’re riding on the four-lane through Greenville, SC, heading toward Asheville, NC for load-in.
A truck pulls up beside us.
My wife says, “This guy is motioning for us to roll the window down.”
So we roll the window down.
The guy yells:
“ARE Y’ALL HEADING TO ASHEVILLE?”
I said, “YES!”
He said:
“I’LL BE THERE SUNDAY! I’M LOOKING FOR YOU!” 🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥
MANNNNNNN!!! 😭🙏🏾
THAT MADE MY WHOLE DAY!
Sometimes when everything seems like it’s going wrong…when equipment is breaking, money is being spent, plans are changing, you’re losing sleep, riding all night, and wondering how you’re going to pull everything together…
GOD WILL SEND YOU A LITTLE REMINDER THAT YOU’RE STILL ON THE RIGHT ROAD! 🙏🏾
The enemy tried to frustrate me.
The enemy tried to slow me down.
But he DIDN’T STOP ME!
THE DEVIL IS A LIE!
We’re tired.
The freezer still ain’t fixed. 😂
We’ve been running all week.
BUT WING KINGH IS HEADED TO ASHEVILLE, NC! 👑🐔🔥
And somebody was already looking for us BEFORE WE EVEN GOT THERE!
That’s enough confirmation for me! 🙌🏾
GOD IS GOOD! ALL THE TIME! 🙏🏾❤️
