Hello everyone!
If I may, I'd like to give everyone a breakdown of yesterday's sales for Israel Aid and the IDF.
We served from 12pm - 6pm.
We served a total of 23 people (3 of whom just stopped by because they saw the coffee truck, and had no idea about the donations 😁).
The total gross sales was $179.50 after taxes were taken off.
We had 1 person very kindly donate $100 as matching funds, and a very sweet couple whose son is also serving in the IDF, donate $60 towards free pastries for people.
The "Israel Aid and IDF tip jar" got $49.29 (I rounded it up to $50).
So, total brought in yesterday was $389.50.
My costs were:
6 dozen pastries. Hoping/wishing for a large crowd of people, I obviously overbrought. A local Yeshiva High School got the rest of the pastries (+- 64) as a Chanukah donation last night after the event) - my cost - $191.
Gasoline to run the generators - +- $9.
My cost for milks, cups, supplies and sundries - +- $53.63.
Labor - I didn't take for my time. My son who worked all afternoon with me, donated his time as well. As did my wife and daughters who spent an hour helping us close up last night just after 6pm.
Total costs - +- $253.63.
So, $389.50 - $253.63 = $135.87 profit.
Being that I'm embarrassed to give such a small amount to Israel Aid and the IDF, I'm just going to donate the full amount that came in yesterday.
So a grand total of $389.50 will be donated.
I'd like to thank the people who made the 2 very generous donations, and the 23 people that came out and supported us in our efforts.
Wishing everyone a Chanukah Sameach, a Chanukah filled with light and miracles, and a wonderful, warm, all enveloping Shabbos.
