We wanted to check in and give everyone another update đź–¤

We’re ✨hopefully✨ getting close! We’ve been told the new floors should be installed this week, which means we can finally start cleaning, restocking, and preparing to reopen our doors.

We can’t even begin to tell you how much we’ve missed seeing all of you.

To be honest, this has been one of the most frustrating experiences we’ve ever been through. It’s incredibly hard having absolutely no control over the timeline and feeling like there’s no real sense of urgency when it comes to reopening a small, family-owned business. Galaxy Snax isn’t just a store to us… it’s our family’s only source of income, and every extra day we’re closed is another day we’re unable to serve our customers and support our family.

That said, we’re trying to stay hopeful. Once these floors are finished, we’ll be working as quickly as we can to get everything cleaned, stocked, and ready for you.

Thank you for sticking with us through all of this. Your messages, encouragement, and patience have meant more than you know. We truly can’t wait to welcome everyone back through our doors. 🖤🌌🍬

Michelle was one of our first customers at our Boardman store and from the moment we met her, we loved her! She was so kind, loving and supportive and quickly became more than just a customer… she became a friend!

She wasn’t just supportive of our small business though. She a was well known supporter of several small businesses here in Boardman and later on in Swansboro, where she moved shortly before tragically passing away last November.

This will be her first birthday that she isn’t here to celebrate with her family. What better way to honor her and her love of small business, than to support her own daughter’s small business?🦩💗

We just wanted to check in since it’s been a bit since our last update.

We’re still working hard to get Galaxy Snax back up and running after our hot water tank burst and flooded the shop. Unfortunately, the damage ended up being much more extensive than we originally thought, so the repair process has been frustratingly slow. Right now we’re waiting on drywall repairs and new flooring before we can finally start putting everything back together.

After seeing all of the flooding around Boardman yesterday, we’re heading over to the shop today to make sure we don’t have any additional damage. Fingers crossed.

To be honest, we’re more than ready to get back. As a small family business, being closed has been incredibly difficult, and we miss seeing all of our amazing customers more than you know. Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and for continuing to check in on us… it truly means the world.

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and we promise we’ll keep everyone updated as soon as we have a better idea of our reopening timeline.
We can’t wait to open our doors and see all of your faces again 🖤✨

Before anyone heads our way, we wanted to let you know that our shop is temporarily closed due to flooding.

We’re currently assessing the damage and working as quickly as we can to get everything cleaned up and repaired. At this point, we don’t have a timeline for reopening, but we’ll keep everyone updated as we know more.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding, and support while we navigate yet another unexpected hurdle. We can’t wait to get back to making your favorite treats as soon as it’s safe to do so.

My personal favorites are the new little penguins and our mice that have gummy worm tails!
