First and foremost, thank you. When I first started roasting back in 2023, I didn't have too many goals for Rod's Roast. I wanted to provide great-tasting coffee beans to the local community as a little side hobby. That turned into something so much greater than I could have imagined, so thank you to all who have supported me!
This post is to share some bittersweet but incredibly exciting news! Rod’s Roast will be taking a temporary pause for about a month as we transition our operations. If you've been following our journey recently, you might know that I've stepped into a new full-time role as the Director of Coffee Experience for the Wells County Dream Center. We are working hard behind the scenes to launch The Well Coffee Co., a brand-new coffee shop space designed to be a local gathering place for relationships to grow over some delicious coffee.
As we pour our energy into getting the brick-and-mortar space ready for its summer launch, Rod's Roast is also transitioning to a brand-new setup at the Dream Center. This means the old backyard roaster is officially retiring from active duty to make way for a completely fresh, upgraded system at the new location!
What This Means for You:
Last Call for Orders: Ordering for coffee on the website will remain open and accepting orders through Sunday, May 24. If you want to stock up on your favorite coffee to hold you over for the next month, make sure to get your orders in before Sunday night!
A Short Pause: After Sunday, we will temporarily pause taking new orders while we get everything installed, dialed in, and ready to roll at the new space.
Our Mission Isn't Changing: Rod’s Roast will continue to exist on the other side of this transition! It will serve as a support model for the Dream Center, and 100% of Rod's Roast profits will directly fund the mission of the Dream Center.
