LOGGER LADIES WHO LUNCH; OR 7 KAREN’S HAVE A HIGHBALL
NOVEMBER 3 – 8. 2026 - - LONSHADR PRODUCTIONS – LOGGER BAR
This is not your mama’s press release. Oh, it has the all the particulars, the who, what where, when. But this is an experience that exceeds that of just a play in a theatre. You are stepping into a moment in the life of a community through the landscape of theatre. A moment that is now! It is visceral, musical, and references real moments in the life of this place...theatre of place. It is in a bar, the Logger. It is intimate, as only 60 people a show fit. You are in the middle not on the outskirts or in the third balcony of a Broadway house hundreds of feet away.
As the owner of that said bar, the Logger, I can tell you that my inspiration came from another bar owner, JB Keane from Cork, Ireland. He was a legendary Irish playwright. Everyone told him he was too “provincial”. But he believed human truth wasn’t specific to the city or the sticks. It was human truth. His patrons chided him, “You listen to what we say. You write it down. And then you charge us to hear it.” True. So please join us for the unusual, musical, funny, poignant, LOGGER LADIES WHO LUNCH.
LOGGER LADIES WHO LUNCH OR 7 KARENS HAVE A HIGHBALL is a jukebox musical about initiating a new person in the MEDUSAS OF THE MAD, a long-standing club of “Karen’s” who meet once a year at the Logger Bar. The initiation is kind of like being "made" in the mafia. There will be songs and a live band. The actual Goddess Medusa just happens to be at the bar and has some things to throw into the mix. This is a one-of-a-kind theatre event held amidst the vibrant vibe of the Logger Bar. Comedy, music, and the politics of place collide to create an experience you won’t forget. Very limited seating. LOGGER LADIES is written and directed by Michael Fields. It features, Alyssa Hughlett, Lynnie Horrigan, Shawn Wagner, Zera Starchild, Evan Grande, Lily Linz, the legendary Cynthia Martells as Medusa, Peggy Metzger, Jeff Landon, Biscuit the Bar Dog, Michael Fields as the Bartender and the best band ever, Marla Joy, Tim Randles, Jeff Kelley, and Mike Labolle.
