Hey Hoosiers! We will be closed this coming Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Dick Barnes (born 1927) was a big business guru in the heart of Kirkwood, famous for starting up Ye Olde Regulator, a tavern that hosted live music events, received the “National Tavern of the Year” two times in a row, and is now where Kilroy’s On Kirkwood sits today. He also studied the art of making pizza pies by way of an Italian family he knew in Richmond, Indiana and a decorated chef from New York named Frank Mastro and brought the knowledge he learned back to Bloomington and opened up “Pizzaria”. It was when he became the Owner of Nick’s that pizza was delivered on foot from the Pizzeria to Nick’s and then officially added to our menu. We dedicate these 99 years of business to his innovation and craftsmanship🍕🍷🦬
