Today December 2nd , we were informed that an employee who worked at Laughing Planet the last Saturday, November 28th tested positive for COVID-19.
At this time our team member is asymptomatic and we hope that she will recover soon. At Laughing Planet we have been following and operating under all of Monroe County’s Health Department guidelines. Despite our efforts, we understand that the virus may continue to spread in our community.
Under the advisement of the Monroe County Health Department, we are requiring team members who were in close contact with said employee to get tested for COVID and quarantine until they have been cleared to return to work.
For the health and safety of our team members, our customers, our families and our larger community, we are taking the precaution of closing down our operations for the next three days to complete a deep clean and sanitation of our facilities. We think these steps are necessary to continue to keep our team members, our families and our community safe.
We are following the lead of other organizations in being transparent and honest in our communications with the Bloomington community. We appreciate our customers continued support and believe our decision to close puts our team members and the public’s health and safety first and foremost.
