Such a lovely tribute Downtown Bloomington IL is putting on tonight.

Come check out the newly upgraded downtown and stop by after. We open at 8!

Join us Thursday evening, September 10, 2026, in Downtown Bloomington to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders and all those who answered the call that day.

The City will hold a special 9/11 observance at 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North Main Street.

The ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Dan Brady and a Bloomington Fire Department member, a flag ceremony and folding by the Bloomington-Normal American Legion Honor Guard, bagpipes performed by retired Bloomington firefighter Roger Troxell, and the lighting of the Downtown Ring.

The public is invited to join us. Bring a lawn chair and be part of this special evening of remembrance.

We are excited to be back at Tails & 'Tinis 2026: Cocktails for a Cause this year!

Hope to see you there!

Calling all cocktail lovers: help us build the Tails & Tinis lineup!

What local bar makes a cocktail you’d put up against anyone in town? Know a bartender who deserves a shot at the title?

Tag your favorite bars, restaurants and bartenders in the comments and tell them you want to see them compete at Tails & 'Tinis 2026: Cocktails for a Cause on October 1 at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.

Bars and restaurants, consider this your official invitation. Come show us what you’ve got, compete for bragging rights and help raise money for the animals at HSCI.

Who should be behind the bar this year? Tag them below!

Be on the look out for our opening date, coming soon!

🌧️ LIGHT UP THE RING IS BEING RESCHEDULED 🌧️

We really wanted to light up Downtown Bloomington Friday night, but Mother Nature apparently has other plans.

With rain in the forecast and an outdoor celebration that includes live music, family activities and, of course, the inaugural lighting of the Ring Structure, we’ve made the decision to reschedule Light Up the Ring.

The good news? The celebration is still happening! 🎉 We’re working on a new date and will share it as soon as it’s confirmed.

The Ring has waited this long for its big 'official' moment. We want to do it right. 💡

Stay tuned!!!
