Did you know that Sunday, June 14th is "Flag Day"? 🇺🇸
'Observed annually on June 14, commemorates the adoption of the American flag by the Second Continental Congress in 1777. It is a day to celebrate the history, symbolism, and legacy of the "Stars and Stripes" as a unifying emblem of the nation's ideals.' 🇺🇸
We, at D'Lish!, have decided to donate a portion of our proceeds from our Friday trailer event, in Lancaster, to the "RAISE THE FLAG" fund for the Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster.
This fund is to replace the existing deterioring flag pole and add a new one in the new area of the cemetery to have representation of our colors when our local Veterans are doing Memorial services.
Hillside Cemetery is a resting place that over 300 Lancaster area Veterans have been laid to rest, including Shane's great-great-grandfather, Jacob Drew, who served in the Civil War, as well as others in his family that have served in the military. 🇺🇸
We are asking any Lancaster area businesses that would like to match our donation, to please do so and for our guests, we will have a donation bucket at the trailer.
Seeing that our country is celebrating it's 250th birthday celebration, lets make this new flag raising a realty sooner than later.
We would LOVE to get this fund close to being done and ready to go! ❤️ 🤍 💙
