Tonight, dozens of dogs and cats are sleeping in our shelter, waiting for someone to choose them. Tomorrow, more animals will likely come through our doors. Right now, we need our community more than ever.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, please come see us. If adoption isn’t possible, consider fostering. It’s one of the most impactful ways you can help, and getting started is easy. Even sharing this post could help an animal find the family they’ve been waiting for.

🧡 Tito: Mom what was that noise? He’s getting braver but still gets startled easy by random noises. Him & his buddy Goose are going to make a wonderful addition to someone’s family. Closed today but reserve your spot to meet us this Thursday for Thirsty Thursday. You can find it separate from the daily reservations under it’s own link labeled Thirsty Thursday. Hi my name is Goya & in honor of I am here to ask you to please get your pets spayed & neutered. I was brought into the shelter on 6/2/26 by someone after being rescued alongside my 4 week old kittens. Yes my kittens are cute but they will grow up to be a cat just like me all looking for a good home where they can be loved & cared for.

If you must have a kitten PLEASE visit the Bloomington Animal Shelter, they posted that they are overflowing with kittens. Through Sunday, all adoption fees are just $25 then it will go back to $90.

These fees include the following services:

-1st round of age appropriate vaccinations (including de-worming)
-Feline Leukemia/FIV testing
-A free office visit with most vets in Monroe County
-Microchip identification
-Spay/Neuter surgery
-A temporary cat carrier

* Just an opinion I’m sharing… if you choose to get a FREE unfixed kitten from someone, that’s fine! However, be responsible & take it to get fixed for $90 at Pets Alive to prevent future unwanted litters. This is the only place I checked today, I assume the local vets will cost more. If you don’t, you are going to be part of the cycle & say that cat gets pregnant with 6 kittens then you are looking at $630 as the minimum before supplies. It costs more in the long run to not fix your cats!
