Apparently, making one ridiculously moist chocolate cake and covering it with an unreasonable amount of chocolate frosting and chocolate chips was a mistake.

Because now you people keep eating it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

After Wednesday morning’s little adventure in “How exactly does one run a coffee shop without WATER?” — we are happy to report that Bloomfield has water again! 🙌

That means Thursday we are FULLY OPEN and back to normal operations!
☕ Espresso drinks? YES.
🍳 Full food menu? YES.
🧊 Iced drinks? YES.
🚰 Actual running water? GLORIOUSLY, YES. 😂

And this picture feels especially appropriate today.
Small businesses really aren't backed by a giant corporation with an emergency department standing by. Sometimes we're backed by caffeine, determination, duct tape, creative problem-solving, and a slightly concerning ability to say, “Well… we'll figure it out.” 😂

Yesterday was one of those days.

So, THANK YOU to everyone who still stopped in, rolled with our limited menu, grabbed a drip coffee or cold brew, and supported us while we made the best of a crappy situation. ❤️

The calendar says September.
The leaves are preparing their resignation letters.
People are starting to talk about hoodies.
Meanwhile, New Mexico is probably like:
“That’s adorable. It’ll be 90° tomorrow.” 😂

So, we’re not quite ready to throw summer out on its ass just yet.

Besides, iced coffee season NEVER ends.
It simply transitions into the superior season known as:

Due to a City of Bloomfield main water line break, we currently have very low/no water pressure.

☕ WE ARE STILL OPEN, but we’ll be operating on a LIMITED MENU until water service is restored.

FOR NOW:
☕ Drip coffee only — the espresso machine needs water too, apparently. 🙄
🍳 Limited food options
🚫 Some of our normal menu items and drinks will not be available

🎃☕ WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT PUMPKIN SPICE. ☕🎃

Apparently, somewhere along the way, AUGUST became fall.
It did not. 😂
It's still hot.
It's still summer.
We haven't even made it past Labor Day yet.
And yet the Pumpkin Spice Lattes are already creeping out of the shadows like:

🎃 “Heeeeeey girl, missed me?”

NO, PUMPKIN. GO BACK INSIDE. 🤣🤣🤣

But while everybody is losing their minds over PSL season, here's a fun little fact:
🍩🍩🍩🍩 FOUR original glazed donuts have roughly the same amount of sugar as ONE grande Pumpkin Spice Latte from a certain national coffee chain.
Yep. About 50 grams. 😳

Suddenly four donuts don't sound quite as scandalous, does it? 😂

Now before the pumpkin-spice people come after me with their Ugg boots and decorative gourds...

WE WILL HAVE A PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE. 🎃☕

Just after Labor Day, when pumpkin season doesn't feel like it's trespassing. 🤣

And here's the even better part:
