Morning world. I have to brag once again on Chef Jr and the small team he has right now. We have 3 guys, cooking for 8 hours, nearly nonstop feeding an average of 500+ people in 6.5 hours. They work so hard back there, it's pretty amazing to see how finely tuned they are. So today, we want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation this Team has for you guys! They are literally culinary superstars!

Good Morning world! Yesterday was insane! Not only were we slammed, but our POS went down in the middle of it all. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, because it comes right back. But this time it was the power supply which left us down about 45 minutes. (Back in the day we did it all with a glorified calculator and pen and paper lol) Despite these sudden challenges, our Team switched over to hand written tickets while I kept up with the accounting the old fashioned way lol. I didn't realize how spoiled we are with all this fancy technology, but it also reminded us how much simpler it was the old way lol Sometimes technology is just complicated lol Anyway, I just wanted to say Way to Go Team. You guys are Rockstars!!!

Morning world! Labor Day weekend is here! Pack your patience and enjoy the slower pace that this town offers...Keep in mind, you're not visiting the city. Most small businesses are run by the families that own them. We don't have the extra labor that city places have. So if you visit a place that seems shorthanded, they are. If they don't stay open later, its because they can't....Give them some grace...Here, we do what we can with what we have to work with, which if you ask us, is amazing. We think all of our small businesses here are rock stars!!!! Enjoy your weekend in the mountains!

Morning world! Anyone that knows us, already knows how much we all love nature here. We are always outside when we aren't working. With so many nature lovers, we are lucky enough to capture many N Ga creatures in the wild(by capture, I mean on camera lol) Here is our Praying Mantis grooming herself. Did you know science nicknamed them the cats of the insect world as they groom the same way. How cool is this! I was in the right place at the right time!

Good Morning world! Recently we had a comment in person and online talking about our employees and their tattoos in a negative way. First let me say this, you come here to eat, not to judge. Restaurants are full of colorful, expressive and kind people. According to a medical journal, Psychology views getting tattoos as a multifaceted form of self-expression, identity building, and emotional communication rather than an indicator of a psychological disorder. I get that they aren't for everyone, but for some, they have deep meaning. For example, this is my arm. When we lost Michael, I did it to remind me what he used to tell me all the time. Simply, Calm down Jan. lol I did it to remind myself and to have a piece of Michael everywhere I go. The girls here are beautiful humans inside and out. Their tattoos don't dictate that, but their actions do. My granny used to say, Don't judge a book by its cover, or you'll miss out on all the contents....Just saying, our staff is full of great people who are far more than just a bunch of ink...

Morning world! I woke up to comments that made me scratch my head. I started to compose a post to address that negativity when the girls sent me this....It reminded me that stupid comments are just that...And in a world with so much negativity, I am not going to contribute to it. Instead I will share this video of the girls surprising Ricky. Ricky is one of the kindest, most giving human beings we know. He is the kind of person who you'll never hear speak poorly about anyone, who doesn't judge others, who is a friend to everyone he meets, and who is always happy. He doesn't let the negativity of this world get into his space. He just smiles and loves everyone. In a world where you can be anything, be like Ricky!!
