Most Cuban girls received this book from their Mother’s or Grandmother’s as a right of passage to keep the tradition of Cuban recipes alive. This dates back to the 1920’s in Cuba where Nitza Villapol was considered the “Cuban Julia Child”.
My Mom dedicated and gifted me this book in 2002 when I began working with her at our restaurant in Miami, Le Cafe Limoges🩷
Back in the Day it costs $12.95. It is now a collectors item and on EBay sells for between $200-$500😵
I proudly display mine at the Cafe and many recognize it from their Mother’s or Grandmother’s💞
