Every so often we have to remember why we do this. It is not for the food and it is not for the drink. We do it for our community. Every so often we meet someone on a lonely night. We talk about food, we talk about family, and we talk about life in general.

Man did I have it tonight. So psyched about crab cakes, that are coming with our Valentine’s special on February 14th. This couple is coming to have the meal. Am I excited?!?! Am I concerned my crab cakes will not live up to expectation? Am I worried I’m not serving a dessert for the price of the dinner?? Are we putting everything on the line??

Seems as though it is every day. It’s not just a crab cake. It’s us, Our staff, our customers that continue to support us throughout everything. It’s not just a barbecue sandwich. Momma and I put it out everyday on social media and JKQ BBQ.

In today’s world, when someone can sit behind a screen and * #% you over, we stand proud. BBQ, crab cake, staff and all. We are serving a meal on Valentine’s Day that we are proud of. One that we sat down together, as a whole, and priced the meal out. One that we can say this is our best effort. Is it for everyone, No it’s not.
