Okay, hear me out on this one.

This is a Ginger Rhubarb syrup, made in store like all our syrups. Fresh ginger and locally grown rhubarb into a simple syrup.

Where would such a concoction be used? Surprisingly it’s a quite tasty latté, but where it really shines is in our Brew Mule. This syrup, cold brew, and freshly squeezed lime. It’s a wonderfully refreshing and tasty drink on these warm summer days.

New coffee drop!

Last year we discovered this Rwandan coffee and were blown away by the chocolate covered cherry notes in it. This years harvest takes it up a notch. The anaerobic natural process takes that fruited amazingness from last year and turns it into something epic: that syrupy, rich raspberry note shines along with a cocoa note that absolutely fills your palate.

Don’t miss this one! We only have a limited supply available.

Whenever we get a new coffee in our roasterie or when we get into a new harvest of one of our favorites, we need to figure out the best way to roast it to bring out the best flavor.

Our first small batch of the coffee is roasted straight from raw to cooked with no major manipulation of the roaster. At a certain point in the roast process, we start pulling samples out. These are laid out on a cooling tray. 12-15 samples later, we taste each sample to determine what roast level brings out the best the bean has to offer. Each roast of this coffee afterwards matches the color of the approved sample.

In short, each coffee we carry needs a certain color match to showcase its natural flavors, and we take the time to figure that out before offering up your next favorite coffee.

One great source of conversation on our bar has been our to go cups. They’re made by nothing.eco and are completely plastic and wax free. They are completely biodegradable and will be gone in 180 days after use.

We are proud to be part of the movement!

Are you ready for coffee?

Good news, everyone! We are now open for to-go drinks!

Our menu online has been updated to include all your favorite drinks. Over the next few weeks we will round out our menu with non-coffee drinks, bottled beverages, and pastries.

We are working hard on jumping through the final hoops to get our seating available; we hope to share good news soon on this.

Due to space limitations, we highly recommend you order online for pickup. We will even bring it out to your car if you'd like. You can also order in store via one of our baristas or off of the kiosk located in the front lobby.

Wanting just bagged coffees still? No problem! Order online or in store as you are used to. If you would like our bagged coffees delivered to your home, please note that starting next week all home deliveries will now be on Wednesdays.

Hours Update:
With the coffee bar open(ish) now, we have updated our hours:
Tues: 6am-1pm
Wed-Fri: 6am-3pm
Sat: 6am-2pm

Thank you for hanging in there with us! It's been a loooooong 26 months from lease signing until this moment. We promise it was worth the wait.
See you soon!

All the news that’s fit to sip.

Hello all! It’s been a hot minute since I sent out a newsletter. So much for the monthly newsletter promise, huh? :(

Anywhoo, there’s a lot to talk about. Let’s get going!

Market season is fast approaching!

We are proud to announce we will be at 4 different markets this season in addition to the roasterie!

Backyard Market in Black Forest
We’re back at our OG market! The Backyard Market runs Saturdays from May 23 - Oct 17 9am-1pm right across the street from our coffee roasterie.

Colorado Farm and Art Market
CFAM is a wonderful mid-week market so you can stock your pantry before the weekend hits. Join us in our new location in the Meanwhile Block (across the street from the Switchbacks Soccer Stadium) in downtown Colorado Springs every Wednesday 3-6pm from June 17 - October 21

Colorado Springs Sunday Market
We were honored to be accepted to this market in Acacia Park in downtown Colorado Springs this year! Join us on alternating weeks from 9am-2pm from May 10 to October 18.

Southeast Food Coalition
Another new one for us this year! Hosted on the southeast side of Colorado Springs, this market aims to bring fresh eats (and coffees!) to a side of town with limited selection. We will be there on the weeks we're not downtown; this market runs June14 - October 11 from 11-3.

Want more information about any of those markets? Want to know where we are at on a specific Sunday? Head over to our Find Us page on our website for all the details!

What about the coffee bar???

Yeah, about that.....
The coffee bar is stuck in the middle of some of the best bureaucratic red tape I've ever encountered. I have four government agencies and one landlord pointing fingers at each other and not getting anything done. I'm still in a spot where officially I can't make any drinks except drip coffees. However, I am "testing" recipes on a regular basis. Dropping by may not be a bad idea....

Corner Happenings!

Our monthly corner crawl is all about Mom this weekend! Be sure to visit all of us on the corner for treats and specials all day this Saturday! Afterwards, the Black Forest Community Club is hosting a Mother's Day Tea from 2-4. Treat mom to something special this weekend!

What's going on at the church across from the roasterie?

There seems to be an epidemic of failing septic systems on the corner right now. The church's new septic system is installed, and the grounds are getting cleaned up for the start of the Backyard Market!

Coffee Tip of the Month

Let's talk iced coffees. They are super easy to make at home!
With your brew method of choice (yes, this works perfectly fine with the good ol' Mr Coffee pot sitting on your counter!), use the usual amount of coffee for your brew. Only use half of the amount of water that you would usually use for brewing. Once the brew is done, take that concentrate and immediately pour it over ice. Use the same amount of ice as you used for water to brew. This way your brew will not be diluted, and you'll taste all the greatness that bean can offer. If you order an iced coffee on the coffee bar, this is exactly how I'll prepare it for you.

Currently, I'm recommending my Indonesia Bali for iced coffees. The molasses depth shines through while the blueberry sweetness hits your nose and the tip of your tongue. Look for a cinnamon-like bite, too! Yum!

Thank you.

This has been quite a journey from the R&R days to being able to serve a Caramel Happiness again. I couldn't have done it without your continued support. I'm beyond grateful and look forward to caffeinating you again.

Happy Sipping!
