As the first Japanese steakhouse to open in North Dakota, Kobe’s Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar introduced not only traditional Japanese food, such as sushi and tempura, but also an ancient style of Japanese cuisine, Teppanyaki, aimed at bringing the Japanese eating experience closer to Bismarck’s heart.

Love often begins a beautiful moment long before the person being celebrated knows it is coming. ❤️

For Casey, it began with a message to Kobe’s, a wish to surprise his wife, Morgan, with hibachi at home. He decorated their garage, prepared the tables and drinks, and gathered the people she loves. Each small act of care helped create the welcome waiting behind that door.

When Morgan came home from work, the garage opened to a chorus of “Surprise! Happy birthday!” 🎉

In that moment, she could see what had been quietly prepared for her: people making time, a husband paying attention, and a familiar place filled with love.

Perhaps this is one of the most precious things we can give someone, the feeling that their life matters deeply to ours.

We had the honor of catering Casey and Morgan’s wedding dinner in August 2022. Being invited back reminds us that hospitality carries meaning far beyond the meal. We become a small part of stories that continue after the tables are cleared.
