Glad to see the big burger vendor back at fest. And he’s got a friend this year!

Been enjoying the summer when it isn’t 100 degrees and 100% humidity. Went for a ride around the Bodensee with some friends over the 4th of July weekend. It was around 180km through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Don’t judge my editing skills, just trying to capture some of the rides.

Spotted on the harbor in Folkstone, England. I’m guessing a permanently installed “food truck” is probably a corporate business operated by employees with no attachment to its success. Looks nice though. I wonder how many customers think it’s real?

Many people associate Germany with the birthplace of the hamburger. Hamburg is not the home of hamburgers. Germany has a roundish, flatish meat patty called a frickedelen. It’s more like a small meatloaf patty and not normally eaten on a bun. Sadly, burgers are generally not done with any style or pride in Germany. Sure, you might find a good one here or there, but with generally basic options. And unfortunately, most look like this sad thing with a premade, possible precooked patty that was mildly warmed up, but not enough to melt the cheese LOL. Btw, in US dollars, this was about $19.

We sure miss all of you too! In the meantime, we’ve been trying burgers everywhere we go. And even making them at home doesn’t compare to what came out of the Bisbee Burger Truck window!

Hi everyone! It’s been a little while since we’ve seen any of you. We miss you all! If you’re curious where we are and what we are doing, check out my page on X.com. This isn’t click bait, it’s really me (Bret) and it’s real pics from my iPhone. It’s places we have been and will go around Europe. Who knows, maybe we will post a few cheeseburger pics. Thanks for checking it out. https://x.com/harry_baws?s=21.
