They say, tell God your plans and he’ll laugh at you.
Well, I’m laughing with him.
Two years ago I thought the bottom line for me was a bakery, I knew with bespoke cakes I would be chained to day to day operations and I thought to myself, I can’t be an old woman on my feet all day.
He was pruning me, shaping me, feeding me information.. and most importantly, watching me grow.
Last year I walked into a meeting and quite frankly I said, I need to scale this thing and I cannot figure out how.
That type of vulnerability without the right network is pointless, but that type of vulnerability with the circle I have intentionally built was the greatest gift God could have ever given me.
To my community, thank you 🙏🏽.
I’ve always done it alone, but now.. every need is a phone call away and I feel so obligated to show God how grateful I am for his mercy on this walk. It’s never me, it’s all God. I thank him for allowing my peers to be instrumental on this mission.
Today, I am in a cafe, not a bakery. Who knew? Training teenagers and young adults who need constructive things to do, who need to learn new skills, who need to spend time with people who pour into them as much as they pour into the mission.
We are building something amazing at Noirbham . And when God sat me down he gave me patience I didn’t have, grace for myself I never gave, vision far beyond what I thought was capable.
As we prepare to soft open, and welcome the public, I ask that you find peace and relaxation in this space. This is something that it has already given me. Let us feed you, nurture you, show up for you while you figure out your day.
The bond between us and those that we chose to serve is one that creates a connection and community that could never be disrupted.
From me to you, as a testimony after many trials and tribulations, rest assured..
“You’re exactly where you should be”
