Pop Tart Upgrade

Birmingham Breadworks totally overhauled the recipe to bring us a much higher quality, puff-style pastry with house made strawberry and blackberry filling. The Nutella pop tart is still filled with the world famous chocolate and hazelnut spread. Available at all three of our cafés now!

New Hours for The Red Cat at
UAB Highlands Hospital

Our UAB Highlands Hospital Location has extended its hours to 5PM!

Fourth of July Hours

For Independence Day, Saturday July 4th, our Pepper Place location will be closing at 2PM and our Railroad Park Location will be closed all day. If you plan to visit the Railroad Park café on Friday the 3rd or Sunday the 5th, we will be open for our regular hours, but you will have to pass through a security checkpoint on 17th or 18th Street to access our café and the park grounds.

Crepes Are Coming Back!

Yes, you read that right. In the not too distant future, crepes will be coming back, exclusive to our Railroad Park café on Saturdays and Sundays! We'll be introducing some new recipes, as well, so stay tuned!

Happy Earth Day!

As many of you know, we take pride in making conscientious choices in how we impact the environmental impact of our businesses. As a member of the Alabama Environmental Council's Earth Aware Team, we are a Gold Level member by choosing to reduce our footprint with items that are normally disposable and/or washable and recycling when and where possible. This includes glass bottles used in the business daily and from our consumers via the Glass Half Full recycling program locally. In addition to those measures, we also have 2 special coffee blends that intentionally focus on conservation, education and interaction with these programs locally via Alabama Audubon and Jones Valley blends. Thank you for your support in all that we do!
