The history of April Fools Day goes back over 500 years. Some say it started when France switched to the Gregorian Calendar (which is still used today), effectively changing the new year from April 1st to January 1st. People who still celebrated the new year on April First were called fools. The day now often involves playing tricks on people, telling "stories" of things that aren't true, or telling jokes. The recipient is often referred to as a fool, if they fall for the trick or believe the story. One simple trick is placing a note on someone's back without them noticing, while others involve intricate stories.
Don't be a fool, come to Brooklyn Pizza and Bar to celebrate the day with us. We are offering a free Pizzookie (chocolate chip or snickerdoodle) with a $30 purchase.
We also have signs kids to take home and color, then put on peoples backs, to see if they can do it without getting caught.
This offer is only available today, Wednesday April 1st, 2026. Limit 1 offer per purchase, dine in, carryout or curbside pickup only. $30 is before and fees or taxes are applied. You will have to come in to see if it is a trick,
(OK, it is not a trick, just seeing if you reading the post all of the way through).
