Our mistake becomes your treat! We ordered the wrong beef ribs (chuck short ribs instead of the big Dino ribs) so we’re cooking them up for Wednesday thru Friday. Same great flavor, but a bit smaller and a little more “financially” forgiving. Limited supply, so don’t miss out.

For those of you coming on Saturday and looking for the real “Dino rib” experience, fear not. We’ll have them on Saturday as usual!

🔥 WE’RE HIRING — MEAT CUTTER 🔥

Austin Whereabouts BBQ is looking for the right person to join our crew!

We’re a busy, growing BBQ joint, and we’re looking for someone who is dependable, reliable, eager to learn, and takes pride in doing a job well.

Experience cutting meat is a plus, but it is not required. We’re willing to teach someone who shows up ready to learn, works hard, and wants to become great at what they do.

Your primary responsibility will be working the cutting board during service — slicing brisket, ribs, sausage, turkey, and other meats to order while interacting with our guests.

At Austin Whereabouts, our FOH and BOH responsibilities overlap, so this isn’t a position where you’ll only do one thing. Everyone is expected to jump in and help wherever the team needs them.

Responsibilities include:

• Working the cutting board during service
• Cutting and plating meats and sides on our counter-service line
• Preparing daily sides and other food items
• Providing incredible customer service
• Spot cleaning and maintaining clean work areas throughout the day
• Receiving, organizing, and putting away stock when deliveries arrive
• End-of-day cleaning and closing duties
• Assisting with other FOH and BOH responsibilities as needed
• Any other tasks assigned by management

What we’re looking for:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a reliable means of getting to work and be able to report for scheduled shifts consistently and on time
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, and Saturdays
• Ability to maintain a work schedule based on the needs of the business
• Dependability and reliability — if you’re scheduled, we need to know you’ll be here
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• A strong work ethic and desire to excel at your duties
• Someone comfortable interacting with customers and committed to providing an incredible customer experience

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the craft of Central Texas-style BBQ and become part of a team that takes pride in what we put across the counter every day.

We can teach you how to cut brisket. We can teach you our system. What we can’t teach is dependability, effort, and the desire to do a great job.
