🇺🇸☀️ Holiday & Heat Closure Notice ☀️🇺🇸

To our amazing customers,

With the combination of the extreme heat and the Independence Day holiday weekend, we’ve made the decision to close Friday, July 3rd, Saturday, July 4th, and Sunday, July 5th.

As much as we love serving our community, the safety and well-being of our team always comes first. After the intense heat this week, we want to give our staff the opportunity to cool off, rest, and spend quality time with their families celebrating the holiday.

Running a pizza oven in these temperatures is tough, and we’re grateful for the hard work our team puts in every day. This long weekend is our way of saying thank you and making sure everyone gets a well-deserved break.

We hope you all have a wonderful Independence Day weekend. Please stay safe, stay cool, celebrate responsibly, and make time for the people you love.

UPDATE FOR THURSDAY JULY 2nd :

We don’t make the decision to close lightly, especially during one of our busiest weeks of the year. But after walking into the pizzeria this morning, it became clear that our air conditioning is already struggling to keep the building comfortable—and that’s before our 500-degree pizza oven is running nonstop.

As much as we love serving our community, the health and safety of the people behind the scenes has to come first. We simply can’t ask our kitchen staff to work in those conditions, and we also need to protect the equipment that keeps our little family business running.

So with heavy hearts, Bastianelli’s Italian Mercato will be closed today, Thursday, July 2, due to the extreme heat.

We know many of you were planning to stop in, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. Your support means more to us than you’ll ever know, and we hope you understand that this decision comes from caring for our team like family—because they are.

Thank you for always standing by us, supporting a small local business, and showing us so much kindness. We hope everyone stays cool, drinks plenty of water, checks on your loved ones, and stays safe during this heat.

We’ll be watching the temperatures closely and will keep everyone updated.
