Time to meet the next Young Professional up for the Service Industry Award!🏆
James Howard is the Founder and Owner of Direct Details. James is a father of four, entrepreneur, and a native of Binghamton. He attended Binghamton High School as well as SUNY Broome Community College with a focus on Entrepreneurship. James’ entrepreneurial spirit started at a young age while attending the Boys and Girls Club and led to him establishing his first business, Direct Details in 2019. Over the course of two years, he has grown Direct Details from a mobile detailing platform operated out of his family car to a storefront business, offering a multitude of services and catering to the car enthusiast, the car pooler and everyone in-between. His leading principles for operating his business are to deliver an exceptional client experience emphasizing respect, quality for the services delivered, and an ethics-based approach for operating all aspects of his business.
James’ passion for business is matched only by his passion for giving back to the community by investing in young people. Direct Details has allowed James to provide mentorship, support, and place for several young people with interest in pursuing their own entrepreneurial goals. He places significant value on the opportunity to help young people understand the importance of their personal brand, work ethic, importance of networking, and supporting their community. Through previous and upcoming events offered through Direct Details, he is constantly looking for opportunities to support the larger community in meaningful ways. As part of this effort, James continues to work on building a coalition of small local businesses to offer similar services, thereby broadening the scope of young people that gain access to the women and men who once were referred to as dreamers and are now established entrepreneurs.
