Over the last few weeks, I was able to step away from the shop and spend some special time with my girls. I got to watch my oldest play in her last two home college lacrosse games of the season (proud mom moment ❤️ ), and then travel to Florida with my second oldest daughter to see one of her favorite bands,BTS, which was such an unforgettable experience.( and amazing concert)
And we even got to visit with my sister and her boyfriend who made a the from New York to spend time with us. And we got to spend some much need time with our grandma.
As business owners, taking time off, especially twice in a row, can feel stressful. There’s always that worry about what might go wrong. But this time, my team and the rest of my family truly held down the fort beautifully, with hardly a hiccup, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
It also gave me a chance to reflect. We all have those moments, whether you run a business or work a job, where burnout creeps in, self-doubt gets loud, and you question if it’s all worth it. You miss things, you stretch yourself thin, and it can weigh on you.
But here’s what I realized… I missed this. I missed being at the shop, seeing our customers, working alongside my team, and creating what I love. Taking that time away reminded me how much this truly means to me and that it’s okay (and necessary) to step away sometimes.
I’m so happy to be back, doing what I love, surrounded by people who make every day better. 💛
