We would like to start off by saying thank you. Thank you to an overwhelmingly welcoming community and for all of you’re support as we took off on this adventure in April!

With a heavy heart, we are announcing the closing of Kal’s Chicken Coop. This has taken hours of hard discussions, and realistic scenarios of what is to come for the future of this restaraunt. We not only want to create a future that has growing potential for our Kal’s brand, but a future that our team can also look forward to and be proud of.

When it comes down to it, chicken is getting more expensive and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. For the million reasons that this seems to be happening, there is nothing we can do about it. That doesn’t align with our main values to bring you a consistent quality product at a price that’s not ridiculous. That’s not something we are willing to sacrifice!

So we will continue with our regular Kal’s Chicken Coop hours and serving up the best chicken sandwiches in the city until our last day of September 4th, 2022 🐓

But with every ending is a new beginning.
We are also the owners of Proof Donuts & Coffee! So we will be closing the restaraunt down for a couple days to do some small remodeling and then Proof will take over full time 🍩 We will become a new brunch restaraunt, and do more donuts than ever before 🥳

We still own the Kal’s brand and will keep it in our back pocket until we have a plan for it 🐔 And who knows, maybe you’ll see it in a food truck in the future 😉

Once again, thank you to all of you from the bottom of our hearts. It means everything to us the support you have all shown. This community has our back and we feel it in full force 🙏
