After a jam packed and incredibly eventful August, we are scaling things back a bit as we head into the school year! 🎒

With school starting, our AMC location will now be open for lunch from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. These shorter hours will give me enough time to clean up, close down, and make it to school pickup on time.

August was absolutely amazing, but I am looking forward to settling into a schedule that leaves a little more room for family life. Check out this week’s schedule and come grab your favorite burger for lunch! 💙

Yesterday, we were honored to be named runner up for Best Overall Food Truck in Billings! 💙

Five years ago, Luscious Layers began with cakes. Since then, we have grown, evolved, and pivoted into the wild world of smash burgers. While we did not take home Best Burger this year, placing second for Best Overall among more than 40 incredible food trucks feels even more meaningful. We are truly humbled.

This summer challenged us in ways we never expected. Scaling to two locations meant training new staff, maintaining quality and consistency, finding time to shop, prepping our homemade sauces, handcrafting our cakes, and pattying thousands upon thousands of burgers. The physical exhaustion caught up with every one of us at times, but we kept showing up because this community kept showing up for us.

Last week, TikTok mega influencer visited our truck and asked why I made the leap from part time to full time. My answer was simple. This community believed in me, and eventually, I realized I needed to believe in myself enough to know I could make this work.

I do not regret that decision for one second.

Congratulations to every food truck that participated! It takes an incredible amount of dedication, preparation, and hard work to do what we do. We are proud to be part of such a talented local food truck community.

Billings, you continue to surprise us, support us, and amaze us. Thank you for showing up, casting your votes, and choosing to support local businesses. Every order, recommendation, share, review, and encouraging word helps small businesses like ours continue doing what we love.

🎉🍔 WE HAVE A WINNER!🍔🎉

Congratulations to Kyra McEachron-Gauthier who guessed 4,063 patties and was only 19 PATTIES OFF!🤯

So, how many did we actually smash during our nine days at the MontanaFair?

4,082 PATTIES😳🍔

When you break that down over the hours the fair was open, we were smashing approximately one patty every 85 seconds🔥

And trust us, by the end of those nine days, our wrists knew it. We were sore, exhausted and completely burgered out, but seeing that number makes those incredibly long days feel pretty darn amazing.

Thank you to EVERYONE who entered, and an even bigger thank you to all of you who helped us reach that absolutely ridiculous number.

The trailer is taking a well-earned breather... but we're not done yet!

After an incredible summer (and surviving those marathon days at the MontanaFair 😅), we're scaling back to **one location** as we catch our breath before the final stretch of the season.

That doesn't mean things are slowing down!

This week we're serving at a few exciting events, including **Ales for Trails** at ZooMontana on Friday and the **Food Truck Battle** on Saturday!

✈️ WE CRACKED THE CODE! 🍔🔥

We’re OPEN TODAY at the Yellowstone International Air Show from 9 AM to 4 PM, and we’re ready to keep those burgers smashed and rolling out FAST!

After surviving the craziness of the fair, we’ve really dialed in the process with our new truck, and WOW has it made a difference. 🙌

Our goal today? Your burger in your hands within 5 to 10 minutes MAX after ordering. 🍔💨
