THE NOT-SO-GLAMOROUS SIDE OF FOOD TRUCK LIFE 🚚
Last night, on our way home from Columbus, we had a tire blowout on the interstate just outside of Laurel.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about operating a mobile business, it’s that there’s ALWAYS something. And we’re pretty sure every food truck owner out there just nodded their head in agreement.
Late-night roadside assistance, emergency service calls, unexpected repairs… these expenses add up FAST. And unfortunately, the bills don’t slow down just because business does.
As we head into the colder months, what many consider the end of “food truck season,” customer traffic naturally starts to decline. But for those of us who operate year-round, the expenses, maintenance, and hard work keep rolling right along. Well, assuming our tires cooperate. 😅
We’re not sharing this for sympathy. It’s simply a little behind-the-scenes glimpse into the realities of running a small, locally owned business.
