Last week, our community unexpectedly lost a child. There are no words for something that should never happen.

This week, two of my staff came to me and asked if I would make shirts for their HOCO Powder Puff game. I handed them shirts and let them know that I was donating $100 on behalf of each team to the GoFundMe for his mom.

This isn't about the donation. I know what I contribute, and I know what I'm about. This is about our kids.

They are important. They deserve to feel seen, supported, and safe, because they do. Every, single one of them. I will continue to donate, vote, advocate, and show up in every way I can to make sure our young people have what they need. Our community has to be a place where they know they are loved, valued, and never alone.

Please keep this family, their friends, classmates, teachers, and everyone hurting close to your heart. If you're able, please donate to help support a family. If you aren't able to donate, please share this, so we can truly make an impact.
