Eleven years ago, Erik Mohdal launched Beantrustcoffeebar at CIC Cambridge with a pour-over station and a mission: cultivate community over coffee. Six years ago, he took that mission further when he opened his own brick-and-mortar coffee bar.

Congratulations, Erik! We loved witnessing your entrepreneurial journey, and we're grateful for everything you've done to bring the CIC community together.

CIC members, join Erik and our community team for coffee and conversation:

Members can also enjoy Beantrust coffee every day at the pour-over bars in all our Massachusetts locations, or stop by Venture Café Cambridge every Thursday evening to sample his oolong tea.

What does it mean to build a resilient, connected, and sustainable community right here in Beverly? Join us Sunday, September 20th from 1-3 PM at beantrust coffeebar to explore this together over drinks and good food.

We’ll be diving into what community looks like to you, what makes you feel most connected and invested, and what opportunities we have to keep strengthening it. Facilitated by Erik Modal (beantrust founder), Meg Cunningham (Green Beverly’s Community Engagement Director), and Chrisanthe Steininger (Green Beverly’s Community Giving Director).
