A first look at The Haunted Lighthouse. 🌙🐈‍⬛

Our newest Halloween collection is filled with black cats, bats, moonlit details, and decadent artisanal chocolates, all set inside the dark coastal world of created exclusively for this launch.

Inside, you’ll find custom small-batch chocolates with unexpected fillings and textures like raspberry black sesame and crispy speculoos cream, plus hand-finished details inspired by the sea, the night, and everything hiding just beyond the lighthouse.

The full collection goes live Wednesday, September 2 at 1PM EDT.

Halloween has officially entered the chat. 👁️🖤

Our first spooky creation of the season is dark, dramatic, and watching your every move. Layers of intricate black-on-black piping, delicate lacework, and jet-black roses finished with perfectly hand-sculpted and painted eyes.

These chocolate boardwalk fudge cakes are hand-painted portraits of some of the beautiful, trusting, inquisitive faces of the fox kits at 🦊🧡

Wild animals come into the care of wildlife rehabilitators for so many reasons. They may be orphaned, injured, displaced, or harmed by cars, pets, and other human activity. Sometimes we simply don’t know what happened before they arrived.

But I often think about the fact that while human beings can be the reason a wild animal needs help, we can also be the reason it gets a second chance.

I’m incredibly lucky to volunteer alongside people who devote their lives to giving these animals that chance. Wildlife rehabilitators care for the tiny, the injured, the frightened, and the vulnerable, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the wild where they belong.

Tiny cake. Very big personality. 🪳💕

We took all the over-the-top piping, tiny rosettes, swags, ruffles, and all the little details of a grand tiered cake and shrunk it down into the sweetest little two-tier cake you can hold in one hand.

Because apparently even mini cockroaches deserve a fancy cake. 🪳🎂

Hand-piped from top to bottom and almost too cute to eat. Almost.

Do you know just how extraordinary rattlesnakes are? 🐍

Rattlesnakes have special heat-sensing organs near their eyes that allow them to detect the body heat of prey, even in darkness. And that famous rattle? It’s an incredible warning system designed to communicate before a snake ever needs to defend itself.

When a rattlesnake rattles, it’s essentially asking you to give it space. If you’re lucky enough to encounter one in the wild, respect the warning, back away, and let it continue on its way.

Humans often kill rattlesnakes at the mere sight of them. But a wild animal doesn’t need to be cute or cuddly to deserve our curiosity, respect, and protection.
Conservation starts with caring about the creatures we’ve been taught to fear. Let this cake series serve as a little reminder that beauty comes in many forms, whether it’s a hand-sculpted and painted rattlesnake or one of the countless other animals we’ve learned to fear before we’ve learned to understand them.
The natural world becomes so much more beautiful when we replace fear with curiosity.

Our pigeon era continues. 🐦

Pigeons have been living alongside humans for thousands of years, and their history with us is kind of incredible. Long before phones or the internet, people relied on homing pigeons to carry messages across enormous distances. During wartime, messenger pigeons even delivered critical messages when other forms of communication failed, and some were awarded medals for their bravery.

So we thought it was about time the pigeon got the formal portrait it deserves.

This very distinguished bird was sculpted and painted entirely by hand, framed in gold and surrounded by some seriously elaborate piping. Of course, even the most dignified pigeon is still a pigeon. That is what you think it
