THE SUMMERY :)
1) Yesterday was great. Thank you for coming out. Thank you to Connexions Gallery for hosting this show in your dang nice court yard! Thank you to all the artists who traveled from near and far and let us hear your fine, fine music!
2) There’s more fun music on the horizon, so break out your calendar and big marker to save this date: July 10th 2026. It’s a Friday and TGIF or something cuz this show is gonna be freakin’ fun, too, okay? Deadbeat Beat are on tour from the legendary motor city (Detrõit) to play some great music at National Sokols in South Bethlehem with Eraser (from Motown Philly), Radlands (from our fertile valley), and a band called Blue Year (yes, this is my music… could be cringe). Not to be missed, duh!
3)It’s not music, but more like music to your mouth and nose: I’m brewing coffee at Two Person’s on Market St in Philly on Friday May26th (that might even be the Friday after this one…). Ever wonder what it’s like to have someone chat your ear off while they nervously brew your coffee??? You can experience that and more (maybe not more, though) from Noon until 3PM.
4)THEEEEEEEN I’m gonna do a full menu cupping. We’ll sniff and slurp coffees from cupping bowls. Never done that before??? Don’t be nervous, be excited. Cuz it’s fun and I will hold your hand (if you’d like and I have your approval) through the whole dang thing. Cuppings are fun! Besides tasting all the flavors in the coffee (which is fun) you get to stand next to other people who also like coffee and appreciate life. Sometimes these people are strangers. But that person might could also become your new best friend and you can tell your grand children, “oh I met my buddy Hank at this insane Blind Tiger Cupping. No regrets because Hank is my best friend!” Or you could meet your new bandmate? That’s how U2 met!
5)How about this Tara Clerkin Trio record? Pretty good!
