We are looking for at least one incredible person to join our team. We will be reviewing applications this week.
What to know before/when applying:

•nights & weekends are what we are looking for. obviously not every night & weekend, but those are the shifts that would be needed.

•our hours of operation are 12-9 (if you are only available until 8pm we will likely not be able to hire you)

•the best applications are the ones that are filled out correctly. Be sure to keep an eye on your email- this is our first line of communication to potential new hires.

•this would NOT be only seasonal but going into the off season as well. so if you are only home for the summer- it wouldn't fill our need

•if you have questions about your application don't hesitate to call. My suggestion would be calling yourself, not having a second party calling on your behalf.

•and finally, if the boss seems tough, it is because she is. the standards are very high. our team takes a lot of pride in providing the best product and the best service humanly possible.

This is the first time we have closed for a week in the summer. What felt like a crazy idea has turned into an incredibly relaxing & wonderful family trip.

Today was the last day before we close for vacation.
It did NOT go as expected. I had so many things to do at the store, none of which probably happened.
Instead I spent 8 hours in the ED with my husband who came down ill suddenly early this afternoon (he's doing well now & we are home!)
So instead - my family & friends pulled together as usual to make sure the store was covered so I could be with him.

Support your local businesses friends. There are some days/weeks we feel like the days never go right. Today was one of them- but I'm so grateful for the folks who continue to support us. I even got another hand drawn picture today which was sent to me via text from my employee which really brightened my day while we sat in the hospital waiting for answers.

Us Again! Don't usually like to do more than one post but we are having way too much fun over here today!

Johnson School Principal & Assistant Principal left some books around town today & these were the lucky finders of them here at the store. And they weren't the only hunters- so if this is a regular thing by these wonderful educators I'd love to help fund if they are doing it on their own! (contact me!)
