Poetry is back!

Save the date! On September 1st, we return from a summer hiatus, to resume our 1st Tuesday Open Mic with a very special featured poet, Robert Piazza. This will take place a Molten Java from 6:30-8:00pm.

Robert Piazza, an American poet, is the award-winning author of Distilled Spirits: Coffee & Recovery (Cathexis Northwest Press, 2026), a book of villanelles exploring the intersection of addiction and spirituality. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Fairfield University. Currently, he serves as Poet Laureate of Litchfield, Connecticut.

Due to the extreme heat and our iffy a/c situation open mic will be cancelled this week. Hope to see you all next week!

Our Bethel CT Pride community is 🔥, but it’s expected to feel like 102 F or more during Open Mic, so we are canceling this week’s event.

Open Mic will return next week, July 9, at Molten Java! Tell your offline friends.

Molten Java will be open during normal biz hours (7AM-6PM) so you can still get your chilled tasty treats.

Cooling centers will be posted in our story as we become aware of them. Keep tabs there for resources.
