Remembering Mort Lewis, our biggest jazz fan, who passed five years ago this week. We hope you're hanging with your good pal Dave Brubeck, Mort, and digging some great tunes! 💓

Mort was a music legend who worked with Dave Brubeck, Simon & Garfunkel, and many others. He was a regular at our Sunday jazz series, always arriving early and sitting in front -- right next to the drums! He dubbed us "the Birdland of Bethel." His passion, support, and of course jokes are much missed.

Lewis, a Bethel resident, managed Dave Brubeck and Simon & Garfunkel and is being remembered as 'classy, generous, loyal and loving.'

We were honored to have Don at the Pizzeria in concert with fellow Hartford Jazz Orchestra member Sebastian Giacco and Roger M. Jr. Post.
