The Hitching Post Diner The Hitching Post Diner is a community gathering place for delicious home cooked food, friendly service and a great atmosphere.

The Hitching Post Diner is the little local diner that has been around for ages, in the past it has gone by the name Bethel's Best, and most recently Inman's Diner and Dairy Bar. My husband and I have been given the opportunity to reopen this location under a different name, and with our own ideas on how and what to feed our local community and those that will be visiting us. We will be focused on

scratch cooking, using as much local produce and local farmers as our distributors as we can. Our intention is to make all our customers feel as if they are being entertained in our home, with a comfy, friendly atmosphere. We want you to come hungry and leave pleasantly stuffed. Its a huge undertaking to start up a restaurant, but we believe with the support of our amazing community, we will develop the following to keep us cooking day after day. Please bare with us, as things are going to change a bit, and some things will stay the same. We have a great deal of experience in making people happy with food...and we are very much looking forward to seeing you all as we open our doors for business.

Hey Ya'll....Frank and I wanted to let you all know that we have decided to CLOSE the DINER....due to declining sales in these winter months, it makes the most sense for us to find other employment. We would like to thank our supporters that continued to come each week and enjoy our food and hospitality. This has been an adventure we will not soon forget, and the friends and family we have met and made along the way, make all the blood, sweat and tears worth it. We hope to continue to see our friends out on the hill and at the local watering holes....

Attention Customers Old and New...

The hours of operation and menu offerings at the diner are about to change. Starting Tomorrow December 15, 2016 our WINTER OPERATING HOURS will be as follows.
Monday - Friday 5:30AM-9:30AM
Saturday and Sunday 5:30AM-11:30AM

This change in hours at the diner will allow Frank and I the time and opportunity to explore all this beautiful area has to offer. Not only the skiing and riding but the community events and incredible scenery our mountain town boasts. Life is simply to short to work it all away.

We will continue to serve you our delicious breakfast offerings, with a few fresh new additions to the menu...Now 7 days a week.

Come on in and see us, on your way to the mountain, work, or for a nice sit down breakfast with the Family. Don't forget, we were voted BEST BREAKFAST IN BETHEL in Sunday River This Winter
