Sometimes it's important to pause and to remember that life is sacred, and freedom isn't free. That's what we will be doing tomorrow. We honor and remember every American soldier who has risked life and limb to protect us, especially those who never made it home. We extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to American families who have lost a loved one to the defense of our nation. God bless you all. We will see you back on Tuesday morning.

Today is officially Riley Day at Serve! Riley has been with us for almost 2.5 years. She recently graduated from college and is beginning her career in the medical field next week which means today is her last day (for now, we are making sure to leave the door open for her to work a shift or two whenever she needs her Serve time). Riley embodies everything Serve stands for and we are going to miss her so very much! She is kind, patient, generous, a wonderful barista, and she loves Jesus. We are so proud of you Riley! You are going to be wonderful at whatever you put your heart into. May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you as you move into your next chapter.

We wanted to give our wonderful patrons a heads up that we will be closed tomorrow. Most of our staff has been away this week for spring break, and tomorrow we wanted to give those who have been working so hard to make everything happen this week an opportunity to rest. We will be back to our usual rhythm on Monday. Thank you for consistently giving us your love and support!

Many of you know Sarah. 🤍

She’s one of the smiling faces behind the counter at Grounds 4 Compassion. She’s the one who remembers your favorite coffee, asks about your family, and makes every person who walks through our doors feel truly seen.

Tomorrow, Sarah is undergoing brain surgery.

Our girl who pours into others so effortlessly now needs us to pour into her.

We are asking our entire community to cover her in prayer for steady hands for the surgeons, for complete healing, for peace that surpasses understanding, and for a smooth recovery.

Sarah will be out for the next six weeks as she rests and heals, but we fully expect to welcome her back behind the counter once she has recovered. We can’t wait for the day we see her smile in the shop again.
