Good morning everyone.

Let me start this post by telling you guys how much joy I've gotten in the past year and a half. I've always had a passion for making/creating food. Hearing how wonderful your meals were or seeing the smiles on your faces made my heart so happy. I wish this post could be better news... But here we are. The Nook will be permanently closing.

We had a great time while it lasted. Let me tell yah for 1st time small business this last year has tried knocking us down more than once! I thought we could make it through. But the insurance company had enough power to knock us down for good. Because of previous "knock downs" we didn't have enough money to replace the roof. Which in return we lost insurance.

Thank you to each of you for supporting us and letting us feed you. It's been our pleasure! So this is us saying see yah later! We are hoping the universe will line the stars up for a Nook 2.0 in the future!

This morning we made a dirty Cuban fry, which looked so delicious! That's what we were having for lunch. Then we made a cheesy bread stick.. and oh man that smelt good! Now what are we gonna have... The choices!

What about a mash up? A dirty Cuban bread stick? Who wants to give it a try?

This week we are featuring ALL our burgers. But we are putting them in a grilled wrap. Something a little lighter for all this heat we are getting! Our pictured burger wrap is a simple all American burger with lettuce and tomato. But you could get any of your favs.. the Nook, garlic parm, jalapeno crunch, or build your own! Comes with your choice of side.

With this fall weather I thought I'd make a more fall inspired burger.

Fresh pattied 1/2 lb burger topped with bacon, havarti cheese, mayo, and homemade onion jam on top of sweet potato fries.

The Nook has a tasty Bacon Nutter grilled cheese! Bacon with a sweet chili peanut butter sauce and pepper jack cheese all melted between two pieces of texas toast... of course, toasted to perfection. Mmm!! Served with a side of our house fried chips!

Don't forget to try out our new homemade soups! Cheesy sausage, stuffed pepper, and creamy mushroom.

Last Friday, we had another contender for the 24" slice. He went at it, we thought he was going to finish it! But he hit the wall and called it quits. Who's gonna try next?

It's Scott and I (Brittany) anniversary. So I thought I'd share a little tradition that we do when we start a new "adventure" in our lives. Whether it be a new move, new job, or another year together. We have french dip sandwiches for dinner. It's a simple, delicious, small tradition we started years ago. So today I'm making you French dip sandwiches to celebrate with us! Comes with a side of chips and homemade au jus to dip it in. I put mozzarella on mine, but you can put whatever cheese you want or none.
