We loved being part of the Summer Solstice at Appleford on June 18th; a beautiful evening that brought the Appleford community together in support of the venue through such a thoughtful, seasonal celebration.

As a preferred caterer, it was an honor to help bring the culinary experience to life in a setting that felt both elegant and full of summer charm. ✨

For this event, the menu and presentation leaned into an Asian blue willow theme, with Asian-inspired dishes and custom fortune cookies that added such a memorable touch.

It was the kind of evening that reminded us how meaningful food can be when it not only serves guests, but also helps shape the atmosphere of the event.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to be part of gatherings like this; where beautiful surroundings, community, and thoughtful hospitality come together so seamlessly. 💙

In honor of , we’re sharing one of our favorite pieces of Hilltop House history.

Long before it became the beautiful venue it is today, the estate was purchased in 1894 by William Nelson Wilbur and his wife, Elizabeth Fitch Wilbur.

William was the son of the founder of H.O. Wilbur & Sons, the Philadelphia chocolate company known for inventing the machine that individually foil-wrapped Wilbur Buds.

That same innovation later became part of the story behind the Hershey’s Kiss.

It’s one of those unexpected details that makes Hilltop House feel even more special to us; a place where history, beauty, and storytelling all come together. 🍫
