This holiday weekend Mackintosh Fruit Farm will have the following apples available for picking:

The original Gala, small in size with sweet desert quality flavor.

Blondee, a golden colored sport of Gala with a firmer and crispier texture.

Crunchfest, a golden apple with an extremely crunchy texture and a bold flavor that bites you back. This is an exciting new apple for MFF. The trees are young and quantities are limited so Labor Day weekend may be your only opportunity to sample them this season.

Honeycrisp ripened earlier than normal this season so there won’t be many to pick, but we will have plenty just picked Honeycrisp in our market this weekend.

Crimson crisp were damaged during the late freeze we had in April this year but there will still be a few available for picking this weekend.

Old Time Golden Delicious, a favorite for fresh eating and cooking.

Jonagold, a sweet spicy flavored cross of Jonathan and Golden Delicious.
