Good morning!
It's been a long time since I've posted, but we've got a great event going on this Friday. As you are aware, last year I sold Mama's Place to Audrey and Sean McCanless, and Betty Jo's Eatery was born! They are located at Biz-Z-Bee Super Flea. I couldn't be happier for their amazing success! A year has gone by, and we're celebrating their first successful year together this Friday!

I will be joining Audrey at the food truck, and we're going to feature the most popular menu items from my second season: the chicken salad, tuna salad, and egg salad. We're going to incorporate them into Audrey's talented offerings, so there will be sandwiches and salads, fresh veggies, from-scratch desserts, plus one of Sean and Audrey's famous plate lunches.

So, we hope you'll stop by, say hello, and enjoy a lunch from Betty Jo's with a bit of nostalgia from Mama's Place! Watch for the menu listing this Friday, come on by!

I couldn’t feel more blessed than to turn Mama’s Place over to the amazing Audrey McCanless and Sean McCanless! They are perfect to continue a fresh home cooked style menu, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Remember when Audrey and her mom served lunches at their business a few years back? Well get ready, because that and more will be served by the new Mama’s Place, “Betty Jo’s Eatery.”
Mom always said that if it’s meant to be, everything will fall into place and no one can stop it from happening. Well that’s exactly what happened here. And I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been asked to come in on occasion to help out, and honestly I can’t wait!

We're not opening this season, but want you to know how much we have appreciated you our first 2 seasons! I'm in full retirement mode and it's awesome. I'm planning some potentially fun things for next year. I'll keep you posted!

So. Quiet day at Mama's Place today. Weird, but probably because of Pioneer Days on the Berryville square. So there’s something really cool about our menu this year. WE ACTUALLY LOVE WHAT WE SELL. Dinner tonight? Big ole bowl. Lotsa salad greens. Tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, hard boiled eggs, black olives. THEN! Big scoop of our maybe-famous chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad. Gosh we love this stuff. Seriously. Not kidding here. It’s kinda why this year has been so awesome.

Add the crackers. Maybe sprinkle some shredded cheese on top. Finish with YOUR favorite dressing. What do you think? Would you like to take this home with you for dinner some night? Thinking about doing something for off season this winter! I’d love to hear from you!

The summer has flown by! Chilly mornings and warm days let us know that fall is in the air, and marks the time that Mama’s Place will close for the season. THANK YOU for a terrific season. It’s our best one yet! And we couldn’t have done it without your continued support! We hope to see you before we close! And we look forward to seeing you again next April!
